Background
Grown in limestone soil with a little bit of clay, these grapes make a classic red wine from Monthelie -- it balances both power and elegance.
Tasting Notes
This wine has fresh black-fruit flavors, especially black cherries and blueberries. It strikes a nice balance between being elegant and racy. It has surprising body and some supple tannins. Very pleasant.
