Background
The Charmois vineyard lies contiguous to Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru parcels. There is a bit more eastern exposure, giving more sun influence to the vines, which contributes to its big floral and citrus flavors. Saint Aubin is often called a “poor man’s Chassagne” because of its lower price, but similar taste to wines from Chassagne. Excellent value!
Tasting Notes
Big floral and citrus nose, along with some butterscotch from oak aging. Full structure, rich across the palate.
