Background
The vines for this Grand Cru are located only 50 yards from the famous Romanee-Conte vineyard. It is literally right across the street. Pascal uses a horse to plow this tiny plot of wine paradise. While this is the most expensive wine in the Arnoux-Lachaux stable, it is downright inexpensive when compared to the price of a bottle of Romanee-Conti from DRC.
Tasting Notes
This wine has a dark ruby color and rich, red-fruit flavors. It has an elegant combination of berry, wood, and spice flavors on the palate. This is an incredibly seductive wine with a long finish. Most ageworthy. Truly one of the world's best wines!
