- Background
- This rosé is rather unique in that it is made 100% from Pinot Noir grapes. Very unusual for a rosé. It is also made using the 'saignée' method where the skins of the Pinot Noir grapes are put in contact with the juice for only 6-8 hours. That bleeds color into the juice and gives this wine its wonderful salmon pink color. It also bleeds taste, structure, body, and flavor into the wine. No wonder this rosé is head and shoulders above the others!
- Tasting Notes
- This wine has fresh red-fruit flavors, especially strawberries. It is NOT a wimpy rosé. It has surprising body and wonderful finesse. It's a lovely wine with a pleasant finish. You can enjoy it just about anytime.
