Background
Les Jeunes Rois (the young kings) vineyard lies at the end of a string of Premier Cru parcels, and would certainly be elevated in any reclassification. Chantal calls it a “lazy wine” in the cellar, as it always takes quite a long time to finish malolactic fermentation. But when it finishes, this wine is incredible and represents wonderful value.
Tasting Notes
Terrific value. Well-extracted, with good color and concentration. Super-ripe cranberry and blackberry, with a touch of herbal spice.
