Chambertin Grand Cru

BACKGROUND

TThis is Chantal’s highest rated wine. It’s the king of red Burgundies. She only owns a handful of rows and makes a small amount of this storied wine.

TASTING NOTES

A powerful wine with firm grip that needs time in the bottle to develop. With time, the tannins become most elegant and the fruity/spicy flavors become very complex.

FOOD PAIRINGS

Leg of Lamb, wild game, Ribeye steak. Strong cheese, such as Epoisses. Any dish with mushrooms or truffles.
