Background
New vineyard in Gevrey-Chambertin. Young vines, so Chantal sells it as a Bourgogne, rather than a Gevrey. Basically, this is a declassified Gevrey that represents incredibly high quality for a relatively inexpensive wine. Always one of the first to sell out.
