- Background
- "Clos de la Truffiere" is a walled enclosure in the Premier Cru Chaumees vineyard. The name means the truffle enclosure and this "clos" is owned entirely by the Jouard family. It is very special to them. Paul and Delphine even had their wedding pictures taken in this vineyard. Plus, it is just a stone's throw from the Montrachet Grand Cru vineyard. By the way, this is Gloria's favorite white wine in the world.
- Tasting Notes
- This wine is rich and opulent. It's creaminess is harmoniously blended with the oak. It's a full-bodied wine that won't weigh you down. Properly cellared, the Clos de la Truffiere will truly last for decades. It's so good young, however, that you'll want to drink it earlier.
