Background
The Corton vineyard is the only Grand Cru in Burgundy that produces both red and white wines. Anne’s parcel is from the steep eastern-facing slopes on the horseshoe-shaped hillside in Corton. She makes a tiny amount of this wine.
Tasting Notes
The wine is intense with excellent minerality. Its complex bouquet includes aromas of blackberries and mushrooms in the woods. The wine is powerful, but retains wonderful balance.
