Puligny-Montrachet
Puligny-Montrachet is the middle jewel of the three great white wine towns in the Cote de Beaune. It is just south of Meursault and just north of Chassagne-Montrachet. Along with Chassagne, Puligny is simply known for producing the world’s best Chardonnays.
Of the five Grand Cru Montrachet vineyards, the Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet and the Chevalier-Montrachet vineyards are located entirely within Puligny-Montrachet. Just over half of the Batard Montrachet and the Montrachet vineyards are also in Puligny. We have one winemaker who produces an excellent example of a single-vineyard Puligny-Montrachet.
