Beaune
Beaune is a lovely medieval walled city, which is the wine capital of Burgundy. It has a lively night life, appealing boutiques, and incredible restaurants. In Burgundy, all roads lead to Beaune (pronounced like “bone” in English). This small city boasts the famous Hospices de Beaune, which was a medieval hospital to treat the indigent in need. It is at the Hospices that the well known wine auction takes place in November each year. This auction sets the prices of Burgundy wine for the next year.
We have three winemakers who make wine from grapes grown in this town. All three have vines in some of the most prestigious Beaune vineyards. They all represent excellent examples of quality wine from this historic town.
